Thanks Adrian! I too completely changed my guitar technique. The way I used to play made my hands tire after a few hours. With the things I learned they no longer tired and it was not a problem playing very long hours...even playing 10 hours a day on occasions.

Just remember to keep relaxed. I always told my student to relax their face and shoulders. The hands just naturally follow.

God Bless,
Jean

Hi Jean,

Just purchased your Master Finger Picking course. Good stuff! Boy, are you good ;-)

I've been playing for years and developed some bad habits. With age comes disipline (sometimes). I want to "re-develop" my fundamentals and it looks like your course is going to help me do just that. Thank you!

Now I want to use my musical abilities to praise God, so I need to dust of some of the rust.

Lord bless,

Adrian

First, thanks Jean for all you are doing! Your videos and lessons have both given me a great start and taken me further than I had expected. My question concerns strumming patterns which I seem to struggle with on every song.

For example, when I first downloaded the #1 arrangement for this song and saw the suggested strumming pattern, I tried to execute the pattern prior to watching the video. I tried one pattern on the "I know that my Red" which worked out to about 50bpm and then couldn't figure out how to break that pattern for the "eemer" since it seemed to receive only two beats.

After watching your video, it became clear - Two patterns on the first part, one full one on the "eemer." My question is, if I don't have your video, or another, on every song I attempt, how do I work this out? Are their guidelines, exercises, or instruction available? Is it just experimentation and experience? Do I need sheet music to read the measures for a guide?

Finally, this new website is great!!

Samantha,
I just tried it in Firefox on a Mac and it downloaded immediately. Also tried it on IE with a PC laptop and had no problems seeing the music. Do you have adobe reader installed on your computer? You can get it free at adobe.com. You may have to search a little because their paid version is always featured.
God Bless,
Jean

Dear Jean
I can open the pdf format of the song, and I am very eager to hear it. However, it does not open. Any idea why this is happening? Yes, I use Internet Explorer. Could that be why?
I click on it, and a black box appears, and even for an hour nothing appeared in it.

Thanks for My Redeemer Lives, We purchased Vol 1 of the Kid's Worship DVD and book around Christmas, then I got a guitar for Christmas and I am learning as I am teaching the grandkids using your DVD and book. I got the complete Guitar Worship Series a couple of weeks ago, in the e-books I discovered I was developing bad hand positioning and am grateful I got the informatin that allows me to make corrections early before I was set in my ways. I was struggling with the right hand finger exercises and realy was looking for a video example and you blessed me by making it a part of your My Redeemer Lives Video.

Thanks
